Statement by TUV leader and Euro election candidate Jim Allister:
“I commend Kate Hoey for exposing the fact that over 350 Royal Prerogatives of Mercy have been issued in Northern Ireland over the past 35 years.
“She has lifted the lid a little further on the rotten deals which have formed an integral part of the “peace process” in Northern Ireland.
“Again we see that the political institutions are based on the appeasement of evil.
“It ironic indeed that Prerogatives of Mercy should be issued to the very people who never showed any mercy for the innocent.”
