Commenting on the visit of former Prime Ministers Sir John Major and Tony Blair to Northern Ireland TUV leader Jim Allister said:
“The credibility of both Sir John Major and Tony Blair is close to zero when it comes to the EU.
“Sir John brought the UK Black Wednesday because of his fixation with keeping us in the European Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM) and destroyed his party by giving away sovereignty at Maastricht.
“Both Sir John and Blair failed to rule out joining the Euro.
“In February 2000 Blair branded Tories who ruled out ever joining the Euro “foolish and backward”.
“However, today’s claim that a vote for Brexit will result in the breakup of the UK really does take the biscuit. This is but the latest part of Project Fear. Having no positive case to make for the corrupt EU Remain can only attempt to scare us.
“Just look at those who share the Remain position of Sir John Major and Mr Blair.
“Would the SNP, SDLP and Sinn Fein really be campaigning for a Remain vote if they thought leaving the EU would break up the UK?”
