Statement by Richard Cairns:
“I am deeply shocked by the events surrounding the disappearance of Pauline Carmichael, and the discovery of what appears to be her body in Lough Neagh. My thoughts and prayers are with her family circle and friends.
“It is a sad time, many people only realising that a search operation was undergoing by hearing PSNI helicopters searching the vicinity of the Six Mile Water. No one was prepared for such tragic news.
“It is important that anyone with any information regarding Pauline contact the PSNI to assist with their investigation.”
