Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:-
“Having been part of the delegation that met the Secretary of State to press for a further review of the La Mon atrocity, and having identified many of the unanswered questions, I am disappointed by Ms Villiers dismissive response and alarmed by the refuge she is taking in “the public interest”. Is this the same perversion of the “public interest” which has seen scores of terrorists not prosecuted, all in the name of the “peace process”?
“Just what is there to hide about who was involved in and knew about La Mon? Is this another episode of protecting untouchable terrorist politicos? I suspect it might be and that once more the interests of victims are being trumped by the corruption of the peace process.”
