Statement by Alderman Stewart McDonald, TUV Bannside:
“Today I have been contacted by a concerned parent after her child was seemingly followed home by a man in a car yesterday evening in the vicinity of Thornebrooke in Ahoghill after he had been out playing with friends.
“The PSNI have been contacted and investigations are currently underway. After the reported abduction attempt in Harryville I am asking everyone to talk to their children about safety and to encourage them at all times to be with friends while out.
“We all have a role to play in keeping our children safe.”
