Statement by TUV North Belfast Assembly candidate John Miller:
“The brutal murder of Michael McGibbon at the weekend deserves to be condemned outright by all in society. Anyone with information about the killing should immediately come forward to the PSNI.
“It is ironic that First Ministers Foster and McGuinness have issued a joint statement on this matter saying that they reject the “agenda and actions” of those who carried out the murder which has already been linked by the police to paramilitaries. Remember that following the Kevin McGuigan murder a few months ago by the IRA Mrs Foster said that she believed the IRA and Sinn Fein were “inextricably linked”.
“How can we take McGuinness’s comments seriously in such circumstances?”
