Statement by TUV Alderman Sharon McKillop:
“I am disgusted by this morning’s attack on a bus owned by Dervock Young Defenders flute band. This represents not just an attack on the band but on the entire community the local community, many don’t have cars and who regularly use the bus.
” I appeal for anyone with information to come forward to the PSNI and hope that those responsible can be brought to justice.
“I would call on Republican Councillor Padraig McShane to condemn this disgraceful attack. Just last week he had an altercation with the band which led to his arrest. During the incident he made baseless allegations which I have had occasion to raise with the PSNI directly.
” The burning of the bus this morning must be roundly condemned by all in positions of responsibility in society.”
