Assembly paying out over £10,000 a year to hide artefacts from public

Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:-

“In a further reply from the Assembly Commission I have now established that over £10,000 of public money is being spent every year to hide Assembly artefacts from the public. Since this has been going on for years hundreds of thousands have probably been spent on this by the louche world of Stormont.

“What a sham that in order to avoid public display of artwork and artefacts, held on behalf of the public by the Assembly, £10,716 of public money is being spent every year to store them away from public view.

“The public owns these artefacts. They should be able to see them. So, again, I’m calling on the Assembly Commission to get them on show.”
